Klassische Archäologie

The study of Classical Archaeology is dedicated to the material culture of the ancient Mediterranean region from prehistory to late antiquity. One focus in Basel is the study of cultural contact zones in different time horizons and geographical and cultural regions, from the central Mediterranean to areas on the periphery of the Greek and Roman spheres of influence such as the Alpine or Black Sea regions.
