Educational content / general education subject catalogue
A non-Swiss secondary school leaving certificate will be recognized with regard to its educational content if the following criteria are cumulatively fulfilled:
- Education at upper secondary level comprises at least 90% general education subjects; this is understood to mean subjects that, in essence, encompass content that is taught in the basic subjects that make up the Swiss Maturität.
- In the last three years of schooling at upper secondary level, at least six separately reported subjects that are independent of one another in accordance with the following “general education subject catalogue” have been consistently attended that fundamentally correspond to the relevant basic subjects of the Swiss Maturität in terms of the academic level pursued, content taught and number of lessons per year:
