Established Researchers
The ERC grants support outstanding researchers, regardless of nationality or age, who see their destiny in frontier research and wish to pursue it further. Project proposals from all fields of science and research are welcome. In particular, the ERC funds interdisciplinary and breakthrough projects.

ERC Advanced Grants or ERC Synergy Grants
Established researchers can apply for an Advanced Grant at the annual calls. Prerequisite is an excellent track record over the last 10 years to receive max. 2.5 Mio EUR for 5 years (plus up to 1 Mio EUR extra). Another option is to apply for a Synergy Grant together with up to four project leaders.
