With the AI Initiative, the University of Basel wants to ensure that we can all benefit from the advantages of AI. The initiative provides services that help answer open questions about AI, identify risks and minimise potential disadvantages.
The University of Basel has launched a broad-based initiative to address the challenges posed to our society by the ongoing development of artificial intelligence (AI). The latest research findings are being bundled and made visible, university teaching is being trained for the age of AI, and employees are being empowered to deal constructively with AI in the course of their work.

Responsible Digital Society
The Responsible Digital Society (RDS) research network is dedicated to the challenges of digital transformation and artificial intelligence as well as their social, ethical, legal, economic, psychological and political implications.
In addition, the RDS aims to promote scientific exchange on methods of AI, data-driven research/data science and their application.
The RDS and its activities are open to all members of the university..

Staff Training Opportunities
