Basel researchers among the world's most cited
Seven researchers from the University of Basel have been named among the most frequently cited scientists worldwide.

The latest edition of the Highly Cited Researchers ranking reveals that all of the honorees have written scientific papers that have been cited most frequently in their field over the past ten years, highlighting the extensive impact of their research.
To determine the Highly Cited Researchers, the US-based company Clarivate evaluates the Web of Science database annually, which records scientific publications from a variety of disciplines. For the current list, publications from 2012 to 2022 were evaluated, and 6,849 researchers from 67 countries in 20 fields were recognized. The Cross-Field category recognizes scientists who have made exceptional contributions across several disciplines.
