European Individual Grants
The Excellent Science pillar of Horizon Europe includes two main career funding programmes:
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) provide researchers with excellent training and career development opportunities. We kindly ask applicants to contact the the Grants Office for further support and information.
European Research Council (ERC) supports ground-breaking, innovative projects from excellent researchers. More than 50 researchers from the University of Basel have received one of these prestigious and highly competitive Grants. Transitional Measures for ERC and MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
Note that researchers in Switzerland are currently not eligible for applying for most ERC individual grants and MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships. The Swiss National Science Foundation SNSF was mandated to implement suitable transitional measures.
Researchers from Swiss research institutions are eligible to apply for the ERC Advanced Grant Call 2024 with deadline on 29.08.2024.
