Is the ERC for me?
The ERC funds three main types of Grants according to the career stage of the Principle Investigator:
- Starting Grants: for top researchers with 2-7 years* post-PhD experience.
- Consolidator Grants: for top researchers with 7-12 years* post-PhD experience.
- Advanced Grants: for established researchers with an excellent track-record.
As well as
- Synergy Grants: for 2-4 outstanding PIs from any area of research or scholarship working together.
- Proof of Concept projects: for ERC grantees
* The cut-off date is January 1st of the Call year. Extensions of the eligibility window e.g. in the case of parental leave or clinical training are possible.
