Remit of the Web Desk

The Web Desk’s remit is divided into two areas:

1. Consultancy

• The Web Desk advises the organizational units on the structure and content of corporate websites.
   
• The Web Desk advises the organizational units on the range of services for publication of content on the internet and forwards them to the relevant bodies if necessary.

2. Operations

• Applications for unibas domains:
  The Web Desk checks whether the requested domain complies with the University of Basel’s guidelines and naming conventions.
   
• Applications for non-unibas domains:
  The Web Desk checks whether the requested non-unibas.ch domain complies with the University of Basel’s guidelines and naming conventions.
   
• Development of content:
  The Web Desk assists the organizational units in building their websites.
