Learning Platform ADAM (ILIAS)

ADAM is the central teaching and learning platform at the University of Basel based on the Learning Management System ILIAS. ADAM supports courses that are offered in the context of undergraduate teaching, doctoral studies, continuing education or advanced training.

Items in ADAM

The functions of the platform, also called “items”, offer countless possibilities to support teaching and learning both organizationally and didactically and to provide corresponding materials. An overview of the items is provided in the fact sheet, which can be found on ADAM in both German and English.

Interface to the study administration

An interface from ADAM to the study administration services.unibas.ch enables lecturers to set up a course with synchronized member management on ADAM, which students can access automatically based on their registration via the course directory.

Access to additional services

ADAM provides access to other services such as DigiLit (digital semester apparatus), Panopto (video content management / lecture recording), and Turnitin (plagiarism detection software).
